Tom is a Low Carbon Specialist Engineer with Vale Base Metals, where he co-manages a broad portfolio of decarbonization initiatives for Vale to achieve its net-zero climate action commitments. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Management and a Master of Engineering and Public Policy from McMaster University, with a focus on sustainability. Tom has over 14 years of experience in the mining industry, leading diverse multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex engineering projects globally. His experience includes two years working with international teams on-site to construct, commission, and operate hydrometallurgical facilities. Tom also sits on the Sustainable Development Committee for the City of Burlington.
