Rabiz Foda, Licensed Professional Engineer, Fellow of Engineers Canada, is an energy industry professional with expertise in electricity utilities, including nuclear, hydro renewable power generation. transmission and distribution. Currently with Hydro One he also collaborates with TERRE Policy Center, India, France (Technology, Education, Research and Rehabilitation for the Environment) under the leadership of former United Nations Environment Program - UNEP Director and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - IPCC expert, endorsed by Nobel prize authorities.
Rabiz has a distinguished career in engineering in three countries and is also well known in a fourth (USA). He is experienced in compliance, governance, risk management, technical audit, transformation, technology. His leadership experience encompasses business, licensing and regulatory at PEO, and community/volunteer organizations. He utilizes his entrepreneurial approach for technology solutions and adds editorial experience as a technology journalist and reference critique.
His contributions are recognized with several awards and written articles. A most recent recognition is the Volunteer Service Award by the Government of Ontario / Professional Engineers Ontario, Experience Requirements Committee in 2022, for dedicated and sustained service of over 20 years to the profession, and Order of Honour by Professional Engineers Ontario in 2019.
Rabiz has contributed in various fields of knowledge, which are not only extensive, but cover some of today’s most pressing societal issues (e.g., climate change, sustainability). He also has an in-depth understanding of many other issues, (healthcare, academia, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, international relationships, trade, minority, ethnic issues).
Rabiz has a world-class education from Ivy League universities in the USA, Canada, and India. A post-graduate diploma in Leadership (2021) from MIT Sloan Executive Education, Columbia Business School Executive Education, Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth; post-graduate diploma in Management Studies from the University of Bombay, India; Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering w/honors from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India; Sustainability in Practice, Polytechnique Montréal; Advanced Financial Management – Columbia University, Columbia Business School.
He currently serves on the Board of professional and community organizations: PEO – Experience Requirements Committee, editorial team of PAN IIT Technology Review Magazine (PiTech), Chair, IIT Bombay Alumni Association Canada Chapter Inc., and others in the past.
Rabiz earned recognition with: Volunteer Service Awards by Government of Ontario, City of Markham, The Mentoring Partnership; Distinguished Service Award, IIT Bombay and IIT Alumni Canada Inc., IEEE USA, His biography has been published several Marquis Who’s Who USA, publications such as “Who’s Who in the World” etc.
Rabiz established strong academic linkages with institutional agreements between leading universities in Canada and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) to advance science and technology and higher education. He has chaired / managed many IIT Alumni, IEEE, CIGRE conferences in Canada, USA, India, China and Europe and published several papers.
Rabiz is passionate about the space at intersection of technology and business, where innovation and

Rabiz is ICD.D from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. In his spare time, he is an artist painting with water-colors.
